Judi & Some of the Professor's Cats
Hi, I am Judi - I have been a professor since 2000 and a crazy cat lady since 2005. My cats have been a source of much-needed love and class levity. When I ask my students if I should discuss my cats less - they all say "NO". I think they are hoping they get less material to learn. I'm on to you, but I think my cat's medical issues provide real-life examples relevant to human disease and its treatment. I hope it piques their interest and keeps their attention.

My husband and I have never regretted our initial decision to take in Splashes and Slurpy. These two were soon followed by Tuxedo, also from Northern VA. Our current cats are Hope, Jethro Cloud, Izzy, and Mojito - all from the Lynchburg Humane Society. Each has a different personality and brings us much joy. When we are not with our cats, you can probably find us and a minor league baseball game - Go Hillcats!!

I am exploring a different direction in my career and just completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Lynchburg. I don't have much experience with social media, so I decided to take LS 612 - Leading in a Digital Environment.
